Ready To Be A LHA Coach?

The Livonia Hockey Association is committed to offering the best experience for all participants by promoting, nurturing, and overseeing the sport of ice hockey. Our goal is to instill teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline on and off the ice. The information provided applies to all coaches serving as head coaches and assistant coaches as a requirement to participate in on ice, on the bench, or locker room activities.

LHA Coaching Requirement Steps

Step 1 - Register with USA Hockey

Register with USA Hockey as an Ice Player/Coach. There is a cost of $79.

Step 2 - Background Screening

Complete your background screening online. Background checks are good for 2 years and there is a processing cost of $30

Step 3 - Safesport Video Training

Complete the Safesport module. You can complete this video in increments. Refreshers are required yearly. There is no cost.

Step 4 - Age Specific Module

Complete the USA Hockey age specific module. Age specific modules are do not expire. There is a $20 cost.

Step 5 - CEP Clinic

Coaches have until Dec 31st to complete their required CEP level clinic to stay eligible. You can only attend one clinic per season and all coaches start at Level 1. The cost of $60.
