Locker Room Monitor Resources
Locker room monitors are required in all LHA locker rooms. They are invaluable resources for coaches as they help promote a safe, supportive environment for each player and encourage team cohesion. They manage safety issues and interpersonal conflicts in the locker room, which can impact on-ice behavior, such as bullying, maintaining focus, and reducing horseplay.
Locker Room Monitor Requirement Steps
Step 1 - Register with USA Hockey
Register with USA Hockey as an Ice Manager/Volunteer. There is no cost.
Step 2 - Background Screening
Complete your background screening online. Background checks are good for 2 years and there is a processing cost of $30
Step 3 - Safesport Video Training
Complete the Safesport module. Safesport requires a valid USA hockey number from Step 1. You can complete this training in increments. Refreshers are required yearly. There is no cost.
